| Skin Growth Promoting Ointment was a pure Chinese medicine prescription, which was composed by beeswax as a basic remedy. According to the vast amount of clinical researches, it was demonstrated that Skin Growth Promoting Ointment not only had the remarkable therapeutic effects to various bum injury, scalding injury, chapped skin and cutaneous ulcer, but also had distinct therapeutic effectiveness to severe varicose vein of lower limb, radiation injury, intractable skin ulcer and decubitus caused by diabetes.This article was mainly about the pharmacological research on the beeswax, the basic remedy of Skin Growth Promoting Ointment and aimed to provide the experimental data for the study of new medicine with Skin Growth Promoting Ointment and for the development and usage of the beeswax.Methods and Results1. The research about physicochemical property of beeswaxThis paper measured all physicochemical properties of beeswax by physical method and chemical method .A series of measured mean value as follow : the relative density is 0.957mg.m-3,the melting point is 65.3℃,refractive is 1.4419,the acid number is 18.50mg/g , the iodine value is 9.60g/100g , the saponification value is 88.11 mg/g .The measurement results showed the all physicochemical value of the experimental beeswax accord with the standardize of beeswax -SB/T 10190-93 .2. The research of the chemical compounds of beeswaxA number of authors reviewed , pure beeswax is composed of a variety of hydrocarbons , free fatty acids ,esters .This article analysis the hydrocarbons, fatty acids and alphatic fatty alcohols by GC/MS(GCMS-QP5050A,SHIMADZU GC-17A Gas chromatograph , GLASS-5000), and their total ion current chromatography tables are draw , then analysis the standard chromatography tables throughcomputer,seven hydrocarbons were identified as followrtricosane, pentacosane,heptacosane,nonacosane,hentriacontene,hentriacontane,trirriacontane. Eleven fatty acids as follow : fourteen acid, palmitic acid,stearic acid,oleic acid,eicosenoic acid,eicosanic acid,docosanoic acid, tetracosanoic acid , cerotic acid ,octacosanoic acid , melissic acid ; Fivefatty alcohols as follow : tetracosanol,ceryl alcohol, octacosanol, melissyl alcohol, dotriacontanol .By analysis the experiment results, the quality standard of the beeswax was provided . 3. The assay of the palmitic acid content in the beeswaxWith the research of the chemical compounds in the beeswax , we could construct the quality standard of the beeswax through the determination of the content of palmitic acid in the beeswax .Capillaries gas chromatography (GC-17A chromatograph-gas, including C-R7A data process machine) was adopted and palmitic acid was measured critically as the control. 20% BF3-CH3OH solution was added to perform the methylesterifition and then 2ml n-hexanum and 2ml saturated NaCl solution were also added. The solution was vibrated and mixed equably, placed for a moment and then 1ul supernatant were input to analysis. The regression curve was performed with sample concentration as the abscissa and peak area as the ordinate, the consequent regression equation was Y=242509.41X+17837.66 with the correlation coefficient was r= 0.9997.Standard control sample solution was used and continuously input for 5 times. After the precision testing was performed, we draw the conculsion that the RSD was 1.01%.Five samples of beeswaxes were measured precisely. First, 0.5M KOH-CH3OH solution was added to perform complete water bath saponification (oil drip disappeared completely), then the solution was centrifuged and the supernatant was drawn out and added with 20% BF3-CH3OH solution to perform methylesterifition. After that, 2ml n-hexanum and 2ml saturated NaCL solution were added, then the solution was vibrated and mixed equably, placed for a moment and lul supernatant were input to analysis.
