Study On Scale Insects In Greenhouses Of Beijing And Toxicity Test Of Verticillium Lecanii To Pseudococcus Longispinus (Targioni-Tozzetti) (Hemiptera: Coccoidea)

Scale insects is belong to Hemiptera, Coccoidea, it has 14 families. Identifications on scale insects of greenhouse plants become more and more important because greenhouse plants were transported more frequently. Due to this circumstance, this paper carried out a detailed investigation on scale insects of greenhouse in Beijing. Toxicity Test of Verticillium lecanii to Pseudococcus longispinus (Targioni-Tozzetti) were made. As follows:First, through the research on scale insects in greenhouses of Beijing, the species has been modified from 19 species in 14 genus,5 families to 67 species in 38 genus,6 families. Identification key for scale insects in greenhouses were made according to species. There are 3 new records, two are new record species in Chinese main land:Phenacoccus solani Ferris and Trionymus bambusae (Green), one is new record species in China:Pseudococcus philippinicus Williams.Second, the morphological characteristics of larval stage of Pseudococcus philippinicus Williams and P. longispinus (Targioni-Tozzetti) were first described. The pictures of larval stage were drawed and the Eco photos of larval stage were taken.Third, Species composition and parasited location of scale insects in Greenhouses of Beijing were analysed.Fourth, toxicity test of Verticillium lecanii to Pseudococcus longispinus (Targioni-Tozzetti) were made. From the indoor pesticide experiments, we know that the toxic effect to each instar of P. longispinus (Targioni-Tozzetti) as follows:First-instar nymph> Second-instar female> Third-instar female> Adult female.At last,13 pictures of larval stage were drawed and 42 Eco photos of larval stage were taken.
