| This research take four ruminally cannulated crossbred beef hybrid bulls that all 18 month old about 400kg±30kg initial body weight, they were used in a 4×4 Latin square to evaluate the effects of different level of pea supplementation on ruminal fermentation digestion and blood biochemical indicator in hybrid bulls. Then, 20 simmental hybrid bulls that all 18 month old and 400kg initial body weight are used 4 groups to evaluate the effects of different level of pea supplementation on production efficiency in hybrid bulls. The theory reference is provided to suitable the level of pea supplementation for the hybrid bulls in fed growing diets.Four kinds of diets that have the same level of energy and protein content were made, the concentrates had four levels of peas supplementation (0%,15%,25% and 35%), each group hybrid bulls fed different diets, 0% level is control group (CG), 15% level is first experiment group (LG), 25% level is second experiment (MG), 35% level is third experiment group (HG). The first of experiment divides into 4 stage, each period have 22 days, the last 7 days is experimental stage, the ruminal environment parameter (VFA, NH3-N and the pH value), ruminal degeneration rate of nutrient content (DM, CP, NDF and ADF) and t in situ disappearance was determined in that time. The second of experiment have 40 days, the final 30 days is experimental stage, the intake, daily gain and body measurement of bulls on the initial 3 days and final 3 days in this stage. The forth of experiment divides into 4 stage, each period have 22 days, make the blood plasma in the last day,and assay Blood Biochemical Indicator. The research reported as follows:Text 1 Effect of different levels of pea on rumen fermentation and digestibility in hybrid bulls There was no significant difference betewn any groups for ruminal pH,acetate and NH3-N (P>0.05). The propionate of CG is lower than other groups, but only the propionate of HG significant difference between the CG (P <0.05). The butyrate of LG, MG and HG were significantly higher than the CG (P<0.05). The total VFA of HG and MG were significantly higher than the LG (P <0.05), the total VFA concentration of CG was no significant difference with other groups (P>0.05).After the feeding 48h, the ruminal disappearance of dry matte of CG was significantly higher than the LG (P <0.05), but the other two groups was not significant (P>0.05). After the feeding 48h, the rumen disappearance of CP of CG was lower than other groups, but only significant difference between MG (P >0.05). LG and MG dietary DM's b value and effective degradability were significantly higher than the other two groups (P<0.05), the b value of CP in diets of LG and MG was significantly higher than LG and HG (P <0.05), in the same time, the c value is significantly lower than LG and HG (P<0.05), so each groups'ruminal effective degradability of proteins was not significant (P>0.05). Between groups'ruminal degradation of NDF and ADF was no significant difference (P>0.05).CP digestibility of LG and MG was significantly higher than CG and HG (P<0.05), MG and HG in the ADF digestibility was significantly higher than CG (P<0.05), but no significant difference with the CG (P<0.05). Text 2 Effect of different levels of pea on performance in hybrid bullsIn the experiment of weight gain in hybrid bulls, MG and HG's daily gain was significantly higher than LG and CG (P<0.05), and while LG's daily gain was also significantly higher than the CG (P<0.05). The intake increasing with the level of pea, but only CG was significantly higher than the HG (P<0.05). Because the changes in daily gain and feed intake, the feed conversion rate of CG was significantly higher than other groups (P <0.05), LG's feed conversion rate was significantly higher than the MG and HG (P<0.05), MG and HG's feed conversion rate was not significant (P>0.05). The changes in body size and daily gain was similar, the changes of chest circumference on each groups is the same with daily gain, the value-added of CG's body height and body length was minimum, and significantly different with the MG and HG (P<0.05), and the LG was not significant (P>0.05).Txet 3 Effect of different levels of pea on blood biochemical parameters in hybrid bullsFed different level of peas diets can not change the level of hybrid bulls blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, high density lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, total protein and blood urea (P>0.05). The activity of Aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase were not changed (P>0.05).The study concluded that (1) add peas in bulls'diet can contribute to increase hybrid bulls ruminal fermentation and apparent digestibility of diets. (2) Add the peas fattening bulls diet can significantly increase their performance. (3) Adding peas in beef cattle diets will not affect the blood biochemical indices. (4) Under the conditions of this study, beef mixed concentrated feed peas the most appropriate level of 25%. |
