Study And Application Of The Optimal Cultivation Technique For Tobacco Transplanted After Wheat In Linyi District

With the development of multiple economy in rural area, the benefits of tobacco cultivation are becoming weak and the land conflict between tobacco and food is increasing. Therefore cultivating tobacco after wheat i.e. planting both tobacco and food at the same land in one year is imperative to raise the land use and get the biggest economic benefits. The plot tests and large scale demonstration of cultivation technique for tobacco transplanted after wheat were carried out in Linyi during 2006-2008 for he influence of technique to after wheat development. The cultivation technique, including cultivar, wheat fertilization, seedling quality, transplanting time, proper fertilization and field management, was optimized. A complete technical standard for planting tobacco after wheat was developed. With planting tobacco after wheat , the virus disease was prevented to some extent because of avoiding aphids, the cropping index and the income of unit area were increased, guide production of tobacco farmers, raise the income of unit area, promote the sustainable and healthy development of tobacco production in Shandong Province, and provide reference to other districts to plant tobacco after wheat. Through the study and application of the optimal cultivation technique for tobacco transplanted after wheat in Linyi district, the main conclusions are as the follows.1.Zhongyan100 is the best variety for the production of tobacco transplanted after wheat in Linyi district.2.For the fore-crop, the early wheat variety should be planted and its fertilizer type and amount is controlled. The tobacco special compound fertilizer or compound fertilizer of potassium sulfate is suitable for both wheat and tobacco. The moderate fertilization level is 50 kg (the proportion of N: P2O5: K2O is 15: 15:15) per 667 m2.3.The moderate transplanting date of tobacco is June 3-9.4.The standard of strong seedlings of tobacco is that the plant height is 10 cm with 8-10 euphylla and the seedling age is about 50 days. Transplanting strong seedlings can get ideal yield and income because of high survival rate, uniform growth and low incidence of PVY in field.5.The moderate fertilization level for Zhongyan100 is 6.5 kg nitrogen per 667 m2.6.the tobacco field should be mulched with film.7. Planting tobacco after wheat can relieve the harm of virus disease, raise the cropping index, effectively alleviate the land conflict between tobacco and food and increase the income of tobacco farmers.8. The optimization and extension of planting tobacco after wheat brings obvious economic and social benefits.
