Active compounds were extracted from 11 kinds of marine algae with 4 kinds of organic solvent (ethanol, ethyl acetate, ethylether and ethylether / methylbenzene). The activity of crude extract from marine algaes against pathogenic organisms of edible fungi was tested by the agar disc diffusion and rate of hyphal growth. The experimental results indicated that ethanol extracts from Hypnea cervicornis, Dictyopteris latiuscula and Spatoglossum pacificum had remarkable antimicrobial activity. Active ingredient from 3 kinds of algae were separated by TLC.The activities of TLC zones from ethyl acetates of ethanol extracts were tested by agar disc diffusion and rate of hyphal growth and inhibit spore germination. The results indicate that the R_f0.59 and R_f0.49 of TLC zones from Spatoglossum pacificum and R_f0.48 and R_f0.06 of TLC zones from Dictyopteris latiuscula had better antimicrobial activities than its crude extract. MIC of these 4 zones were tested by half dilution method. The structures of compounds from these 4 zones were analyzed by means of GC-MS.
