| Agronomic traits, dry matter dynamics, photosynthetic pigment, photosynthesis, drought tolerance have been studied for the barley materials from different countries or regions. By planting materials in field, sampling and doing experiment in laboratory as well as calculating traits related to yield, analyzing data with Excel and DPS software, we can get the results as fellows:(1) the agronomic traits of each 14 tested variaties has big difference,it indicates that germplasm resources are very rich. The plant height and kernel have significant positive correlation, the correlation of the ear's length and its number are extremedous positive, none of these characters have obvious relationship with the area output, it means that all the indicators should be completely considered to cultivate high-yielding barley varieties; screened the rareripe, high-yielding material barley variety D-3 frome others, the rest can be used as the improve germplasm resources,such as big ear material ganpi 3 and ganpi 4, rich kernel material D-83 and D-63,etc, big kernel material D-22 and ganpi 4; short plant material xi'an91-2 and xiying 2.(2)The research of dry matter trends duing filling stage suggested that the transportation of dry matter has positive correlation with the thousand kernels weight and output, the transportation of dry matters from different variaties are also dissimilar, this is perhaps the result of varietal own genetic factor and sowing period's corporated work. According to different varieties'period of flowering to maturity, proper early sowing can extend the filling stage to increase the production and thousand kernels weight, take ganpi 3 as an example, from coming to blossom to maturity ,it only takes 25 days, the amount of transportation is very small between dry matters'organ ,so the sowing period should be advanced.(3)According to the research ofphotosynthetic pigment and photosynthetic characteristics during the filling stage, in the 9 tested characters, the diversity of photosynthesis, concentrations of carbon dioxide, stomatal conductance, transpiration intensity, b chlorophyll content, a/b chlorophyll is extremendously obvious, the photosynthetic process experienced a significant drop along with the filling stage, among them , the cell concentration of carbon dioxide and transpiration intensity first increase and then decend ,the difference of Chl(a/b) is not obvious during each stage.For the whole filling stage, the differences of different variaties on various indicators are very obvious,for instance, the high photosynthetic variety haruite and high chlorophyll variety D-63 has been identified, provide a high-quality material for high-efficiency breeding.(4) Drought physiological indicator POD and MDA content has increased along with filling, the content of SOD falls, the content of soluble protein falls slightly, the differences of different variaties are obvious, according to the grey correlation analysis of output and each characters, 7 physiilogical indicators related to drought and the correlation of output has been obtained, the sequence is (from high to low): POD activity, SOD activity, stomatal conductance , the content of MDA, photosynthesis, transpiration, the content of soluble protein . So when evaluating the barley's production, beside regarding agronomic traits as an indicator of determining the output, the use of physiological and biochemical properties relate to drought resistance also should be atentioned.To sum up, the final output of plants are determined by many factors. When selecting parent plant, only the parent's high-quality agronomic traits had been attentioned,and ignored other properities. The filling stage is an important period for barley's production, the proper handling of the relationship between physiological indicators is a prerequisite and basis for cultivating high-quality viariaties, it is very important to completely handle the relationship between agronomic traits and physiological traits very well for cultivating high-quality barley variety. |
