Making use of SEM,optical microscope to observe anatomical structure of the flower,leaf of Magnolia L.The results are studyed on significance of taxonomic system,ecology and application value on garden construction of Magnolia L..Main results are:(1)The patterns of anticlinal wall of periant and flower bract epidermal cells of Magnolia L.are straight and have no indentation.Oil cell exists in leaf and pefiant.The surface of periants are smooth and have no ornamentation.The lower epidermis of flower bract are covered with wax layer.Both sides of periants and flower bracts have the stoma.These mutual structures reflect the Magnolia L is divided as a natural taxon is reasonable.(2)The patterns of anticlinal wall of leaf epidermal cells of Parakmeria yunnanensis and Parakmeria Latungensis are regular sinuate.This is different from the species of Magnolia L..The thickness of their upper epidermis is more than the plants of Magnolia L.The author support the establishment of Parakmeria H.combine with research results of predecessors.(3)The periants of Subgen Yulania.are full of intercellular space,and have hypodermis under the epidermal;The inner cells of Subgen.Magnolias' periant arrange closely,and have no hypodermis.These structural differences prove that the division of Subgen.Yulania and Subgen.Magnolia is reasonable.(4)Tannin is founded in Sect.Gwillimias' periant while isn't founded in other species of Magnolia L..The existence of tannin prove that the division of Sect.Gwillimia is reasonable.(5)The appearance shape of leaf stoma and the pattern of anticlinal wall of leaf epidermal cells of Magnolia grandiflora are different from other species of Magnolia L.It have continuous hypoderrnis under the leaf upper epidermis.There is no tannin materials in its periant,and it is different from the other evergreen species of Magnolia L.These characters reflect the particularity of Magnolia grandiflora and support the establishment of Sect.Theorhodon.(6)The leaf trichomes and flower bract trichomes of Magnolia sieboldii have structures of "joint" and "groove".Its vascular cylinder show round.Its pattern of anticlinal wall of leaf upper epidermal cells is straight and have no indentation.These characters support the establishment of Sect.Oyama.(7)The basal of leaf trichomes is cylindrical with gauffer.Their patterns of anticlinal wall of leaf upper epidermal cells are straight and have no indentation.The numbers of vascular bundle of midvein and leaf stalk are more than other species of Magnolia L.These characters support the establishment of Sect.Rytidospermum.(8)The characters' differences of evergreen species and deciduous species of Magnolia L.are related to their living environment,for example:the generation of tannin materials,the existence of hypodermis and intercellular space,the patterns of anticlinal wall of leaf and periant epidermal cells,the density and characters of leaf trichomes and flower bract trichomes and so on.(9)The characters of Magnolia L.accord with requests of ecological garden construction.Their flower,leaf,tree performance and fruit have higher ornamental value.They have great application potential on garden construction.The flower colour,flower shape,leaf colour and tree performance have many kinds of forms.Their planting modes are of various kinds. |
