The genetic variation of the hybrid BC1F2 between Elymus dahuricus and Hordeum brevisubulatum were studied by means of biology , cytology and isozyme electrophoresis. The results were as follows:①The growing and developing period, growing dynamics, regeneration of the most of the hybrid BC1F2 tended toward recurrent parent H.brevisubulatum, but slower than it.②The heterosis in yield, tiller ability of some lines of the hybrid BC1F2 were strong.③The fertilities of BC1F2 were enhanced in different degree.④The drought resistance of the hybrid BC1F2 were in the middle of the parents.⑤The chromosome number of the hybrid BC1F2 was all 28, the same as recurrent parent H.brevisubulatum.⑥The zymogram of POD and EST of hybrid BC1F2 were the mutual suplementary isozymes of the parents or had hybrid bands, and there were phenomenon of losing bands. The zymogram of POD and EST of BC1F2 were affected obviously by recurrent parent H. brevisubulatum.
