The soil fertility was syncretized of man-made fertility and the natural fertility in certain degree, man-made fertility was unceasingly imported in the production procedure for peoples, the natural fertility existed in the forming process of soil. The soil fertility has reflected that soil provide and harmonize ability of the nutrition condition and the ambient condition for plant growth, and is the synthesis reflection of soil physics, chemistry and Biology character, and also is the basis of land productivity.Soil condition is the dominant factor to decide tobacco leaf quality, the proper soil fertility is an important basis to produce high grade and suiTab.le tobacco, soil fertility situation is the basis of tobacco fertilizing and nutrition regulating. Because the flue-cured tobacco is one of the dominant economic industries of Guizhou. Therefore, aims at Guizhou is our country important high quality flue-cured tobacco producing area, has the special karst landform characteristic, and the remarkable elevation difference, as well as the current flue-cured tobacco production fertilizer formulating is unreasonable, the fertilizer utilization ratio is not higher, so to investigate various fertility factors of mainly planted tobacco area in Guizhou of 2000-2002 year. For this purpose of this research take Guizhou province's planted tobacco area as study area, analyzed and researched mainly planted tobacco area's soil fertility factors of Guizhou for its abundant and lack status, the overall variation, the relevance and the different elevation's continuously influence to the fertility factor. The Result indicated:1. According to analyzing soil fertility index of abundant and lack in the planted tobacco area, the result shows: soil pH of the various types planted tobacco area average to be situated between 6.28-6.81, besides paddy soil mainly distributes in 5.5-6.5, other types mainly distribute in 6.5-7.5. Organic matter averagely is situated between 27.8-34.5g.kg-1, located in the suiTab.le level, except yellow-brown soil is bigger than 35.0g.kg-1, other mainly is below 35.0g.kg-1. The content of total N, total P are located in the rich level, two types planted tobacco area, of which soil mainly distribution is above 1.00g.kg-1. But available N, available P, total K, available K are located in the suiTab.le level. Soil distribution of planted tobacco area is in various types, available N mainly distributes between 25-60mg.kg-1; available P mainly distributes between 5.00-15.0mg.kg-1 which is suiTab.le; Total K reaches the middling quantity's proportion and also there is 56.25% in the paddy soil; Available K mainly distributes in 120~200mg.kg-1 which is suiTab.le in the scope. Available S is located in the suiTab.le and rich level, yellow-brown soil and paddy soil content is located in the rich level, others are in the suiTab.le level; Exchangeable Ca average is in the rich level, the proportion of various types planted tobacco area's soil of above 400mg.kg-1 is overtop 93.3%, average exchangeable Mg is in the extremely rich level, the proportion above 50.0mg.kg-1 is surpass 93.3%. The average content of Available Cu, available Zn, available Fe, available Mn, available B, available Mo and water-solubility C1 respectively is 1.99, 6.03, 30.9, 45.8, 0.390, 0.197 and 7.60mg.kg-1. Available B and water-solubility C1 are downward bias, in various types planted tobacco area, soil mainly distribute between 0.500mg.kg-1 and 25.0mg.kg-1, being at the deficient condition; Availability of various types of Cu distributes in 1~2mg.kg-1 which belongs to middling level, other various types of microelement are in the rich level. The CEC lies in the suiTab.le level, the yellow soil and the soillime mainly distribute in 10.0~20.0cmol (+) kg-1, purple soil is mainly above 10.0cmol (+) kg-1, and yellow-brown soil and the paddy soil is mainly below 20.0cmol (+) kg-1.2. The soil fertility's collectivity variability of Guizhou planted tobacco area indicated that: available Zn's variability is the biggest; its coefficient of variation is 273%. The second is water-solubility C1, its coefficient of variation is 120%. Their variability is the biggest, which belong to strong variability. But the pH's coefficient of variation is 14.8%, which belongs to weak variability. And then the next is organic matter, its coefficient of variation is 37.1%, has achieved to middle variability. There is no remarkable difference of other variation degree, its coefficient of variation between 45.0~97.6%, belong to middle variability.3. According to research soil fertility's correlativity of various types planted tobacco area, the result indicated: In five soil types, the correlativity between fertility factor is the best in the yellow soil. The correlativity between fertility factors of the yellow-brown soil and the lime soil takes second place; the correlativity between each fertility factor is not obvious in the purple soil and the paddy soil. These indicated that between soils fertility there is different correlativity in various types of planted tobacco area.4. Altitude has certain influence to soil fertility of different planted tobacco area, between the average values of organic matter, CEC, available N, total P, available K, available S, exchangeable Ca, exchangeable Mg, available Cu, available Zn's average and altitude there is extremely remarkable positive correlativity, Soil sampling mainly concentrates during 800~1600m, showed Guizhou tobacco area mainly concentrate in this altitude level. The sample number of different fertility factor accounts for the proportion between 76.6and 88.7% in this altitude level.
