As one of the main tobacco-planted regions, Chongqing has an area of 47,000 hm2 tobacco planted soil. Its output takes up the 7th place of the whole country, and it has a proportion of 4% of the whole country as well. As one of the main tobacco-planted regions of Chongqing, Pengshui country has an average output of 14~15 thousands of tons of tobacco.Tobacco industry is not only the leading industry of breaking away from poverty but also the primary resource of finance and revenue in tobacco-planted regions, and tobacco industy holds the balance in agricultural econimic development. The soil fertility condition is the important factor, which affects tobacco output and quality. Therefore, to study the character of spatial variability of soil fertility and to constitute the practical and feasible standardization production technology measure of tobacco leaf is vital significance to guarantee the development of tobacco industry steadily, to improve tobacco quality ceaselessly, to improve tobacco output and the farmer income and to increase the finance income of Pengshui.GIS has strong function of managing spatial data, while geostatistics has strong function of spatial analyse, so they can learn from each other's strong points to offset each other's weakness if combine them, and then they can exert their advantage adequately to open out the spatial variability character of soil fertility. There were many reports on the study of the spatial variability character of soil fertility, while how to put the production into practice well and rapidly is one of the main problems, which can not be ignored in today's research. This paper studies the specimens of soil from arable areas throughout Pengshui Country of Chongqing. 329 portions of soil specimens are achieved to analyze and gain the result of soil pH and the content of organic matter, available nitrogen, available phosphorus, and available potassium and the content of total nitrogen, total phosphorus, total potassium, available sulfur, exchangeable calcium, exchangeable magnesium, available copper, available zinc, available iron, available manganese, available molybdenum, available boron and the water-soluble chlorine of the typical 35 soil specimens. With the help of...
