Tessaratoma. papillosa (Drury)belong to Hemiptera,Pentatomidae,Tessaratominae was one of the most important pests to litchi and longan.Since 1980s,the occurence and harm of T. papillosa was increasing by year as areas of litchi and longan increased. In order to further understood the biological and ecological characteristics of T. papillosa and to developed the non-pollution control methods against T.papillosa,We preliminary studied the scent glands structure and it's bioactive of T. papillosa,the main results are as follows :1 The scent gland dissection structure of T. papillosaThe scent glands of T. papillosa were inside the body, the adult's had single one and the nymph's had a pairs of cystic structure. The scent glands located in the metathorax or the abdominal side of abdominal section, which the apertura was on the body surface.The two apertura of glands body located in the metathorax sideboard in the both sides of body. The metathorax of scent glands nymph were in the second and third abdominalinternodes,respectively.The scent gland structure of T. papillosa was"side",and that its basic work mechanism was :when T. papillosa adult was in danger or was stimulated,the scent gland walls with full of stink fluid would instantly contract,meanwhile the valve muscle was contracted and opened the valve, then the stink fluid was pumped out from the scent glands and ejaculated by the aperture, when T. papillosa nymph was stimulated, the diaphragm muscle would contract to separate the upper and lower layers of membrane while towing hominess diaphragm of upper membrane openning the scent gland apertura, The stink fluid wouldejacalated when the walls of scent gland contraced.2 The secretion rhythm of stink fluid in T. papillosaThe extracted and analysed to the stink fluid of T. papillosa showed that the quantity of stink fluid secretion of T.papillosa adult was the most between 13 : 00~15:00,the male's was 20.56±2.03μl/ bug,the female's was 16±1.5μl/bug. the quantity of stink fluid secretion of T.papillosa nymph was the most between 11 : 00~13:00,the male's was 5.67±0.4μl/ bug,the female's was 5.22±0.94μl/bug.3 Bioassay3.1 Square room test The results indicated that there were very significant differences between the response of T. papillosa(adult,nymph) to the odour sources that were stink fluid and scent glands of adult and nymphal♀,♂and the control,stink glands secretions of T. papillosa have obvious repellency effect. But when the scent glands and it's secretions were present simultaneously, there was no significant difference in repellency and attraction effect to T. papillosa. There were obvious repellent effects of the odour sources above to T. papillosa (adult,nymph);There were on significant difference between the selective responses of T. papillosa (adult, nymph) to the stink fuild of adult/nymphal♀/♂and the scent glands of adult/nymphal♀/♂.When the odour sources were the stink fuild of adult/nymphal♀/♂and the scent glands of adult/nymphal♀/♂,the repellent effects of T. papillosa (adult,nymph) were not obvious.3.2 Perti dish test3.2.1 The results indicated that there was obvious repellency effect the stink fluid of T. papillosa to T. papillosa, and the effect was more obvious as the increasing of doses of stink fluid.3.2.2 The scent gland and it's secretions of T.papillosa could only stimulate the active searching behavior of Anastatus japonicus and not induce its ovipositor probing behavior, and the scent gland and secretions of T. papillosa showed the repellent effect to A.japonicus in close distance range.3.3 "Y"–olfactometer testThe results indicated A.japonicus tend more to the stind fluid of T. papillosa than the control and there were signifinant difference of A.japonicus's response between the scent glant of T. papillosa and the control .There were luring effect of its scent gland to A. japonicus also attains a significant level.4The SEM structure of T. papillosa and its natural enemies– A.japonicus There were five types of antennal sensillum in T. papillosa, there were sensillum trichoid, sensillum chaeticum, sensillum basiconicum,sensillum coeloconicum,sensillum moniliform. Sensillum moniliform was special antennal sensillum of T. papillosa.There were six types of antennal sensillum in A. japonicus,There were sensillum trichoid, sensillum chaeticum, sensillum placodea,sensillum basiconicum,sensillum ampullacea, sensillum falcate.Specialized"exploring section" which lied in the end of female A. japonicus antenna ventral was the main characteristic. |
