Series 1: Effects of Isomalto-oligosaccharides(IMO) from corn starch's degradation on rumen kinetics in goatsThis experiment was fed high level corn diet in treated period compared with the same protein and energy diet without corn in control period used four mature goats fitted with permanent rumen cannulas. Rumen fluid was collected after intaken two hours later to make qualitative and quantitative analysis with ways of paper chromatography, rabbit isolated intestine's activity detection and DNS method. The result showed that in treated period there were IMO in rumen fluid. Rumen fluid capacity, turnover rate and exit time were detected by the marker of PEG—4000. The result showed as follows: The treated period compared with the control period rumen fluid capacity were 3.984±0.021L and 4.439±0.027L ( P<0.01 ) ,more significantly;turnover rate were 0.232±0.002 and 0.258±0.002(P<0.01) ,more significantly; the average exit time were 17.476±0.244h and 17.366±0.207h(P>0.05); the average hay intake were 1.010±0.015 kg and 1.168±0.017 kg(P〈0.01),more significantly. IMO from corn starch's degradation Effect on rumen kinetics more significantly.Series 2: Effects of Isomalto-oligosaccharides(IMO) from corn starch's degradation on digestion metabolism in rumen in goatsThis experiment was fed high level corn diet in treated period compared with the same protein and energy diet without corn in control period used four mature goats fitted with permanent rumen cannulas. Rumen fluid was collected after intaken two hours to make qualitative and quantitative analysis in different ways by paper chromatography, rabbit isolated intestine's activity detection and DNS method. The result showed that , experiment period compared with control period, there were Isomalto-oligosaccharides(IMO) from higher level corn starch's degradation in rumen fluid., PH were 6.61±0.027 and 6.213±0.037(P<0.01), TDHA were 0.694±0.006 and 0.903±0.009(P<0.01), MCP were 0.244±0.017 and 0.261±0.006(P>0.05), NH3-N were 14.656±1.053mg/dL and 16.564±1.121mg/dL(P<0.01); amylase activity were 397.934±16.301 and 650.633±9.007(P<0.01).
