This study was conducted to determine the eflFect of Y-aminobutyric acid inclusion of diets on the growth performance and blood parameters of 21 days weaned piglets, and discussed the possible mechanism of GABA on endocrine secretion.Forty piglets weaned at 21d age were randomly allocated to four groups , ten pens per group and one niglet per pen In each treatment, piglets were fed corn and soybean meal-based diets supplemented with 0, 50mg/kg, 100mg/kg, 150mg/kg Y-aminobutyric acid, respectively. The Results showed:1. The addition of 50 mg/kg GABA increased the average daily feed intake of pigletsin the first 14 days ,the second 14 days and the whole experiment period by 11.2%, 13.2%, 12.6% compared to that of the control, respectively;Likewise, the average daily feed intake was improved by 8.3%, 12.6%, 9.4% with the addition of 100mg/kg GABA ; but was decreased by 10.1%,6.4% or 7.5% with 150mg/kg GABA addition, respectively. The feed intake was gradually reduced with the increased GABA supplemenation,In the second 14 days and the whole experiment period, the added 50mg/kg GABA significantly increased average daily feed intake compared to that of 150mg/kg GABA addition.Compared to that of control group, the addition of 50ppm GABA increased the ADG by 5.6%,18.9%,15.2% in three different period, and ADG was improved by 8.6%,4.3%,5.4% with 100mg/kgGABA addition, and by -12.4%,-3.3%,-2.1% with 150 mg/kg GABA addition, respectively. In addition,no significant difference was observed between treatments in the second 14days or the whole experiment period, and GABA supplementation has no effect on apparent CP digestibility.2. 50mg/kg or 100mg/kg GABA inclusion of diets depressed CCK secretion compared to that of control group.but to the contrary 150mg/kg GABA addition stimulated CCK secretion(P>0.05).3. NPY secretion tended to be increased after feeding.and the secretion level...
