The Performance Of Six Introduced Pear Varieties In Mengjin Luoyang

This experiment is done according to six breeds, i . e. Qiyuesu, Lubaoshi, Zaomeisu, Xingao, Huangjin, Fengshui in exemplary garden of seven-year pear trees in Mengjin Luoyang. We applied combinaton method of investigation in the field with survey in the lab. Investigation is made on following respects such as fruit type hardness, the content of titratable acid, the content of soluble solid, watery quantity and the content of vitamine C. The result indicates, The order of hardness from big to small is Xingao, Zaomeisu, Huangjin, Qiyuesu, Fengshui and Lubaoshi. The order of the content of soluble solid from high to low is Huangjin, Fengshui, Zaomeisu, Xingao, Qiyuesu and Lubaoshi. The order of water quantity from high to low is Qiyuesu, Lubaoshi, Zaomeisu, Xingao, Fengshui and Huangjin. The order of the content of Vitamine C from high to low is Lubaoshi, Huangjin, Fengshui, Xingao, Zaomeisu, Qiyuesu. The order of the content of titratable acid from high to low is Zaomeisu, Huangjin, Lubaoshi, Fengshui, Xingao, Qiyuesu. The order of TSS/TA is Qiyuesu, Fengshui, Xingao, Huangjin, Lubaoshi, Zaomeisu. All the introduced pear breeds possess better ability of resistance to pear scab, pear rust and pear ring rot. The most serious pest is pear louse, followed by rhubarb aphid, and pear borer is the minimal. Huangjin which is infected with pear louse is more serious than Zaomeisu and Qiyuesu. Seed introduction about six pear breeds was comprehensively analyzed. Fengshui and Huangjin contain more VC and solid sugar. The content of titratable acid and hardness is lower. The content of water is medium. What is more, they have better outer and inner character. At the same time, they possess better ability of resistance to illness. Thus the use of poison can be reduced. As a result, production cost can be reduced and it is good to raise the quality of pear. So it is advisable to plant Fengshui and Huangjin breed of introduction pear seed in Mengjin. Although Lubaoshi and Zaomeisu possess more VC, they contain more water too, and it is difficult to preserve and transport. Thus they need to be developed properly. Xingao and Qiyuesu contain less VC and soluble solid sugar. Besides, their hardness is higher. So development should be controlled.
