Mechanism Of Coloring And Usage In Garden Of Colored-leaf Trees In Hunan

From the view of aesthetics, the color of colored-leaf trees is the most important fact in landscape design. and leaf color is regarded as the creator of garden. With cities development, experts and all community circles attach importance to colored-leaf trees, the breeding and application of colored-leaf trees becomes hotspot in landscape architecture.Studying on colored-leaf trees in Hunan area, based on entirely particularly field survey of species of colored-leaf trees, the ecological behaviour, the admiring properties,collocating mode etc.With an eye on present situation of the colored-leaf trees'applacation, we investigated the colored-leaf trees species in Changsha and Zhuzhou, do some phenological observations, and summarize divers colored-leaf trees which can be used in landscape design. To summarize application of colored-leaf trees in landscape architecture in Hunan area, to analyze the existing problems, and to put forward solving measures will direct for the future in application of colored-leaf trees in Hunan area in the future. We looked into the agents that influnce leaf color from the view of physiologic and ecologic and found the intrinsic factor that influnces leaf color---pigments potent, and the extrinsic factor---air temperature, light,etc. Pigments potent and air termperature are are more important than other factors. The color changing of the colored-leaf trees resulted from these comprehensive factors, It must fully respect them in landscape design. Meanwhile, we should make of the bionomics and ecologic habitus of these trees, and make sure to let they show vivid colors and the most beautiful landscape effictiveness in urban environment,ensure the landscape designs more scientific and artistic.
