Colored Trees Species refers to the species that shows the red, purple, golden etc and are different from the green color and have high ornamental value. In the process of urban greening, colorful leaf ornamental plant is the development trend of urban landscape construction. In recent years, our country pays more attention to colored tree introduction and applications.The garden city greening trees configuration in Western region of Inner Mongolia has the single, drab, overall administrative levels feeling worse defects in tree species. Research by introducing 5 colored tree speciesPrunus persica,Prunus cistena,Ruby Chinese flowering crabappl,Sambucus racemosa Plumosa Aurea,Cotinus coggygria Atropurpureus are doing the winterizing research of field under different protection measures and combining laboratory identification, choose the strong cold -resistance species, which can cultivate overwintering in the open ground in Western region of Inner Mongolia, and can rich landscaping tree species.The research adopts the following 4 Protection measures to do the Comparison test: natural overwintering,stem base reinforcing,packaging straw rope around the trunk and using the membrane plastic packaging the trunk. Making proceedings investigation of Colored Trees Species of overwintering,Length of the branches growth,the damage in buds,dry branches conditions,DBH increment,testing plants'conductivity. By means of the 6 indicators suggests the damage in plant cells of the Colored Trees Species in winter.After three years of research, in natural wintering circumstances, the Winter survival rate of Prunus persicais up to 98.2%, the average increment of branches is 43cm, the Winter survival rate ofPrunus cistena is up to 91.8%, the average increment of branches is 46cm, the Winter survival rate ofRuby Chinese flowering crabapplis 100%, the average increment of branches is 38cm, the Winter survival rate ofSambucus racemosa Plumosa Aureais 100%, the average increment of branches is 43cm, the Winter survival rate ofCotinus coggygria Atropurpureusis 0%,and no average increment. In these five plants through the conductivity detection, relatively the conductivity of Prunus persicais the lowest, hardiness performance was the strongest. And the conductivity ofPrunus cistenaçš„,Ruby Chinese flowering crabappl,Sambucus racemosa Plumosa Aurea;Cotinus coggygria Atropurpureusis highest, the worst performance of hardiness.Combined with introduction experiment, we can get that in Western region of Inner Mongolia,Prunus persica,Prunus cistena,Ruby Chinese flowering crabappl,Sambucus racemosa Plumosa Aureacan be introduced and planted. Cotinus coggygria Atropurpureuscan not live through winter, even under the condition of protection, the survival rate is very low, can not be introduced and planted.In the applications of garden trees, the application of color trees should combine biology characteristic, cannot eager to import the species. We should adopt rational scientific manner. The introduction of colored trees provides more space for the tree species selection of city landscape construction of the western area of Inner Mongolia. And it promotes the landscape construction of west region city of Inner Mongolia towards a more beautiful, more ecological and more harmonious direction.
