The black soldier fly larva is a kind of saprophytic insect larva, feeding on a wide range. Using black soldier fly larva to digest swine manure, on the one hand, it can reduce odor, the nitrogen content and its impact on the environment; on the other hand, after swine manure was digested completely, the larvae/prepupue contain high protein and fat content, which can be used as feed additives, what's more, the swine manure after treatment is a good organic fertilizer. The method of sample experiment and pilot plant test was used to affirm an optimal ratio of manure and the insects, in order to digest the manure adequately, while obtain the highest nutritional content of the insects (crude protein content). The research demonstrated that the best proportion of larvae and swine manure was 500 larvae /1kg larvae and 1000 larvae/1kg, according to the analysis of the crude protein content of insects, the gained weight and the conversion rate. In the further pilot plant study, we found the optimal proportion of the larvae and the swine manure was 1000 larvae/1kg from the above-mentioned proportion, according to the above three parameters. This research also demonstrated that the residue which separated after the swine manure was converted by the black soldier fly completely, as the organic-fertilizer affect the yield and quality of the Brossica chinensis. The results showed that the residue as the organic-fertilizer which the organic content was twice more than the commercial fertilizer compared with the control treatment could be able to improve the height by 15.04%, the width of leaf by 16.38% and the weight by 57.73%. Comparing with the commercial fertilizer, it increased by 11.38%,14.96% and 45.36% respectively. Thereby, the potted plant experiment indicated that the residue can increase soil fertility, promote the growth of Brossica chinensis and enhance the yield of the Brossica chinensis significantly with a broad prospect. The moisture content of dairy manure is as high as more than 85% and the organic content is low, if using the black soldier fly to digest directly, the conversion rate will be low and the cycle will be long, however, according to the characteristic of the wide range feeding, dairy manure as the main component mix with other manures which contain low moisture content, high organic content such as swine manure or poultry manure in order to improve the conversion rate and protein content. In this study,1000 lOd-larvae were counted into the mixture of dairy manure and swine or poultry manure in proportion of 10%,30% and 50%, the total quality was lkg. Each treatment was in the same condition, daily observations were made until 40% larvae had reached the prepupal stage. After harvested, the parameters showed that the 50% dairy manure matched with 50% swine manure or 50% the poultry manure is the best respective proportion, however, compared with the two matches, the former one is better than the other. In detail, the former of the conversion cycle is at lest two days shorter, conversion rate and the total N content of prepupae are also higher. So the optimum match is 50/50 mixture of dairy manure and swine manure. The condition of conversion is optimized:the optimum inoculation amount and the instars are 1500 larvae/1kg and 8-d-old, respectively. Based on results from this study, an efficient and sustainable dairy waste management plan with the black soldier fly can be devised.
