| The black soldier fly is a kind of saprophytic insect, which can digest manure. So, it can be used to deal with the environmental pollution problems. In addition, the larvae/prepupa can be used as feed additives, the puparium content high chitin; on the other hand, the swine manure after treatment by the black soldier fly larvae and functional microorganism is a good bio-organic fertilizer. In order to utilize the black soldier fly larva to digest poultry manure, the problem of serial passage must be solved. Now, the serial passage of the black soldier fly is using artificial diets to rear larvae, however, the cost of this way is high. We try to use manure instead of the artificial diets partly to rear the black soldier fly larvae. The black soldier fly larvae using manure for six days, ten days and fourteen days; then, using artificial diets until 50% larvae turned to prepupa. The results showed that the black soldier fly larvae using manure were reared for ten days, the larvae, prepupa and adults grew the best. Compared to rearing totally using artificial diets group, the weigh of larva, prepupa and adult increased 73.1%,87.7% and 69.4%, respectively; the life cycle of the black soldier fly have no obvious difference among them. Furthermore, it could save 1 kg artificial diet when rearing 2000 larvae in this way. Compared to the group rearing the black soldier fly larvae only using manure, the grow index of black soldier fly larvae for manure and the artificial diets group outweighs obviously. The chitin was extractede using acid-alkali method from puparium. The concentration of NaOH, reaction time and reaction temperature were optimized. The results showed that the best concentration of NaOH is 9%; the best reaction time and temperature is 5 h and 80℃, respectively. The concentration of HCl, reaction time and temperature removing inorganic salt were also optimized. The best concentration of HCl is 1.5mol/L; the best reaction time and temperature is 4 h and 30℃, respectively. In this study, the the swine manure were treated by both the black soldier fly larvae and functional microorganism. The swine manure was converted firstly by the black soldier fly larvae, then the converted residues were fermented by deep-sea Bacills velezensis DM09, which could suppress fusarium wilt of cotton effectively. The fermented product was assaied its fuction of fusarium wilt control and cotton growth-promotion under greenhouse conditions. The results were showed that fermented residues could provide protection of 42% against cotton fusarium wilt. The introduction also significantly increased the stock height 29.2%, fresh weight 40% and dry weight 63% of cotton seedlings compared to fertilizing with the unfermented control and commercial compound fertilizer, which showed the synergistic effects of this fertilizer. The results indicate that positive effects of DM09-fermented residues of swine manure transformed by black soldier fly larvae can be attributed to both biocontrol and nutritional synergistic effects. Thus, this manure-processing procedure is a value-added manure management method involving transformation by insect and functional microorganisms. |
