The rapid development of modern society, the acceleration of the pace of life, study and work pressure, family tensions, psychological or mental distress, economic difficulties that make more and more people have problems in mental health. If there is not correct way to untangle, psychological distress may gradually develop into mental illness, or mental disability. However, mental illness is hard to cure, recurrence and other characteristics, determine the mental health work must adhere to the policy of putting prevention first, adhere to the principle of combining prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.Community as residents of foundation of the social life, has also become a mental health service system that is the most advanced position and plays important role in the effectiveness of mental health services. In the perspective of medical prevention mechanism, "To give priority to prevention, combining prevention and treatment" as the guidelines of community mental health. However, due to a lack of expertise in the community, mental health is often a mere formality. Social worker plays an important role in the field of mental health, they played a preventive role and therapeutic role, using its unique expertise, organization and coordination of a variety of resources to help mentally ill patients.This research to L community for cases, research social workers intervene in community spirit health three level prevention system of effectiveness, that professional social work services concept such as help others, respect, equal and so on, and case work, group work, and community work of three big work method be applied to community the first, second and third level control work in the community spirit health. Through intervening in patients of social support system, makes each subsystem of function full played role, help patients rehabilitation. The focus of the study is to study the effectiveness of the social workers involved in the community. The research found that:social workers intervene in community mental health work played an irreplaceable effect. Patient’s self-care ability and interpersonal skills improved significantly, financial burden on patients’ families and care pressures eased, community mental health knowledge enhanced, social work intervention got remarkable achievements of individual patients, their families and’communities. However, the study also found in the community social services need to be improved in many aspects. Further broadening the range of services of social work, due to lack of the diversification of the service form to meet the diverse needs of community residents to maintain mental health. Therefore, broaden the scope of services, providing a diversity of professional services, will provide better services for community residents, for community residents to create a positive mental environment.
