purpose: to investigate that Induced arrhythmia in rats the change of NPY and CST in serum by irritating and the mechanism of effect of traditional Chinese medicine Method: Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into model control group(A), traditional Chinese medicine control group(B), blockers control group(C) and irritability stimulated control group(D). Group A, B and C were comparing the serum NPY,CST level to the 12 rats before buildlng model respectively and making a comparative analysis. The use of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) was observed in each group before and after modeling serum neuropeptide Y(NPY) and catecholamine endostatin(CST) of content. Result:the NPY, CST in serum of model group were significantly higher than the control group before modeling(P <0.05). the NPY, CST in TCM group levels higher than western medicine group levels and increased significantly, there are significant differences(P <0.05).Conclusion: Neuropeptide Y and catecholamines endostatin were closely associated with abnormal heart rate. Chinese herbs can inhibit neuropeptide serum levels, increased expression levels of catecholamines endostatin.(P <0. 01). Chinese herbs and therapy of regulating the liver have a regulatory role to arrhythmia.Traditional medicine in this area has a certain advantage, because modern abnormal of modern factors may be related to liver dysfunction, the regulating mechanism in the traditional medicine think palpitations and long-term tension, fear and other social psychological factors have an integral connection.
