Then, made statistical analysis according to the normal test results as follows:(1) Two-sample t-test (parametric test) was used to analyze the difference of the total score of legal consciousness between the two cities. (2) Two-independent samples nonparametric tests (Wilcoxon rank sum test) was used to analyze the difference of the average scores of the various dimensions of legal consciousness. (3) Multiple linear regression analysis (The dependent variable was the total score of legal consciousness. The independent variables included sex, age, education levels, income levels, occupational categories, study habits, the frequency of receiving promotional materials.) was used to screen the factors that influence the patients’ legal consciousness.Results:(1) The recovery rates of the questionnaires at both locations were 100%, the number of valid questionnaires in Guilin A hospital was 132, the effective rate was 88.00%. The number of valid questionnaires in Beijing B hospital was 140, the effective rate was 93.33%. The number of patients of all ages was relatively evenly balanced, the income levels, the proportion of city and countryside, the level of education and occupational distribution of the two samples had relatively good representative of the two overall study populations. (2) The total score of legal consciousness of the patients who came from Guilin was 92.71±7.65, the average scores of legal knowledge, consciousness of rights and obligations, obedience and application, legal evaluation and legal psychology were 16.88±2.90, 19.89±2.23,18.71±2.35,18.53±2.08, and 18.70±2.29.Very few patients would take the initiative to learn the knowledge of laws and regulations (2.27%).Only 11.36% of the patients can often receive the propaganda materials of "Popularization and Education of the Law". Most of the patients thought that the effectiveness of learn the legal knowledge independently was not always better (51.52%). The majority of patients rarely took the initiative to learn legal knowledge (32.86%). Only 12.14% of the patients often received the promotional materials. The proportion of the patient who only got little effect in autonomous learning was the largest (45.00%).Within the way of the patients to learn the legal knowledge and carry out legal publicity and education, the TV legal programs shared the maximum proportion as 78.57% and 75.71%.(3) The difference of the total score of legal consciousness between the patients who came from Guilin and the patients who came from Beijing was statistically significant (P (2-tailed)<0.0001), and exist significant difference in all dimensions of the legal consciousness (P(2-tailed)<0.05).(4) Multiple linear regression analysis showed that age (Beta=-0.488, P=0.000), study habits (Beta=0.287, P=O.001), the frequency of receiving promotional materials (Beta=0.176, P=0.028) and the average monthly income (Beta=0.147, P=0.052) were the important influencing factors of the legal consciousness of the patients who came from Guilin. The influencing factors of the legal consciousness of the patients who came from Beijing included study habits (Beta=0.366, P=0.000), education levels (Beta=0.298, P=0.000) and occupational categories (Beta=0.237, P=0.002).Conclusion:The legal consciousness of the patients who came from Guilin is lower. The difference between the two cities of the patients’legal consciousness is significant. Patients know little about the legal knowledge related to doctors and patients, but with a higher consciousness of rights and obligation. The level of obedience and application, legal evaluation and legal psychology are better. Patients are lack of initiative to learn the knowledge of laws and regulations, and the learning effectiveness is bad, But to a certain degree, patients with a penchant for a way to carry out legal publicity and education. Age shows a negative correlation with the patients’legal consciousness. The frequencies of receiving promotional materials all influence the patients’legal consciousness. The study habits and the average monthly income have a positive effect on patients’legal consciousness, and the study also finds a positive correlation between level of education and patients’legal consciousness. In addition, there are significant occupational categories difference exists in patients’legal consciousness. Therefore, we should to improve patients’activeness and enthusiasm in learning, and to carry out exploratory propaganda and education work for the entire people in a relatively underdeveloped area. Meanwhile we must value its accessibility and validity so that comprehensively improve the level of patients’legal consciousness.
