Objective:Summarying the treatment experience of Doctor Zhang Yi-Fan about asthma disease in medicine and prescriptionrule by using the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Inheritance Support System.Methods:Data mining research is based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Inheritance Support System, to collect 784 formulas of asthma disease given by Dr. Zhang from 1990’s to 2010’s, and to analyze the rules of prescrition and the experience of treating asthma disease.ResultBased on the analysis of 784 formulas, the frequency of each herb and association rules among herbs are computed,12 core combinations and 1 new prescription are mined from the database.Results:The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Inheritance Support System can be used to analyze and summarize the famous old TCM doctors’clinical experience.
