The conclusion of World Health Organization’s survey:more than1billion people around the world exists mental health problems, including chronic mental illness to trauma, a lot of painful experience. In China, Mental health is facing enormous challenges, mental illness is in the total burden of disease ranking in the first place, accounting for20%of the total burden of disease.In facing of the situation about serious mental illness, this study, used qualitative research method, through interviewing with11people with chronic mental illness, who was accepting community rehabilitation services in the M club, have found that the course of the construction of chronic mental disease family resilience is a dynamic process. The family resilience construct following three dimensions:the construction of the family belief system; the adjustment of the organizational model in the family; changes in the process of family communication.This study found that the promotion of the key factors of the construct of chronic mental illness family resilience are direct caregivers, and community rehabilitation institution.This study focused on exploring many factors that hinder the construction of chronic mental illness family resilience, such as the conflict between family members; still exist in the "stigma" in the family members; heavy economic pressure; gradual loss of confidence in the rehabilitation; accumulation hatred and anger; fragile social support network; serious social discrimination.Finally, based on the research of family resilience of patients with chronic mental illness, this study put forward some countermeasures and suggestions to enhance family resilience from the perspective of social work.
