The growth rules of four lines (Chinese White pigeon, A-line, hybrid A-line, B-line) were studied. Cluster analysis were done on four lines in order to provide scientific evidence, according to partial correlation and regression analysis, with the data of the body measurement and weight. And the purity of these four lines (two hundred and forty populations) was detected using seven microsatellite DNA primers recommended by B.TRAXLER scholar. The genetic heterozygosity ("H"), polymorphism information contention ("PIC"), numbers of effective alleles ("Ne"), genetic distance among pigeon lines were computed and dendrogram were constructed to evaluate the genetic variability within lines and genetic relationships among lines. The results were as follows:The speed of growing of pigeon from birth to 28-day was quick, the highest data of relatively growth rate was 96.41% during 2-day and 4-day, and Chinese White pigeons' was 85.41%; After 18-day the absolutely weight and relatively growth were apparently decline, the lowest data of relatively growth rate was 2.13%, and Chinese White pigeons' was 4.05%. The 28-day were been seen the best day to go to the market.The correlation analysis was done according to the body weight of 28-day, significancecorrelation between 10-day (or 26-day) and birth-weight, between 2-day and 16-day weight(P<0.05 ) ; the very significance correlation between other days each two (P<0.01) . Itdeemed that the correlations were significant between birth weight and 28 days weight. It wasthe accordance for nonage selection. So the pigeons which birth weights were heavy could beselected as the breeding group.The capability of propagate were detected in four lines, the average eggs number was 14.21, the average hatching rate was 79.03%, the average quantities of birth were 11.21, theliving numbers of 28-day were 10.77, the average the 28-day's survival rate was all above95%.All of seven microsatellite primers adopted can be amplified effectively and producepolymorphic bands. Genetic heterozygosity ("H") of the four lines respectively was 0.6045,0.6275, 0.6556, 0.6395. Average PIC of the four lines was 0.5508, 0.5817, 0.6138, 0.5934.Average Ne of the four lines was 2.7522, 3.1095, 3.3366, 3.0926. It indicted that the plentypolymorphism in four lines of pigeon.The Nei's genetic distance (D_A) was been computed in four lines, the results were that:the Nei's genetic distances were all larger than 0.05 in four lines. The D_A was the largestbetween A-line and Chinese White pigeon, which was 0.1214. And the D_A was the smallestbetween hybrid A-line and Chinese White pigeon, which was 0.0595.Applying UPGMA cluster means on the four lines, genetic distance among pigeon lines were computed and dendrogram were constructed to evaluate the genetic variability within lines and genetic relationships among lines. The results were as the follows: hybrid A-line and Chinese White pigeon were been seen the same strain, A-line and B-line were been seen another strain. It was accordance with the breeding history of each line.
