This experiment was conducted to investigate the gain efficiency of Chinese medicinal herbs additives (Ⅰand Ⅱ)and the cross effects between them and feed by digestibility experiment, feeding experiment and degradation experiment in rumen using nilon bag technique in the sheep.By analyzing the influence of Chinese medicinal herbs additives on the degradation rate of corn stalk in the rumen ,utilization rate of nutrients, productive performance and blood biochemical parameters, the experiments were designed to demonstrate the positive associative effects between Chinese medicinal herbs additives and feed so as to explain the gain efficiency. In addition, the experiment discussed the effect of mixture of Chinese medicinal herbs additives and different concentrate roughage rate on the utilization rate of coarse fodder .The results were as follows:1,Under the nutrition level of 1.3×ML(maintaining level), average daily gain of the two treatment groups(A and B)containing Chinese medicinal herbs Ⅰand Ⅱwas higher than that of control group, increasing by 5g and 8g, respectively. Compared with that of Chinese medicinal herbs additives Ⅰ, gain level,concentrate/roughage of Chinese medicinal herbs Ⅱwas more significant. Utilization rate of nutrients in treatment A and B increased more significantly than control group and the relations between Chinese medicinal herbs additives (ⅠandⅡ) and diet was positive associative effects.2,Under the nutrition level of 1.8×ML, both Chinese medicinal herbs additives ⅠandⅡshowed the positive associative effects. Average daily gain(99.81) of the treatment B was higher significantly than treatment A(P<0.05). Concentrate/roughage,concentrate/gain and protein/gain of treatment B was significantly slower than treatment A. The gain efficiency of Chinese medicinal herbs additives Ⅱwas higher than that of Chinese medicinal herbs Ⅰ.3,Under the nutrition level of 1.8×ML, the effect of Chinese medicinal herbs additives ⅠandⅡon average daily gain ,concentrate/roughage,concentrate/gain and protein/gain wasn't significant .4,By the study of growth hormone and insulin level in the blood, it was estimated that there exists a unknown factor in the Chinese medicinal herbs additivesⅠandⅡthat can promote the secretion of insulin.
