Producing protein feeding by the fermentation of pomace of orangewas studied in this paper. One of the most suitable combinations ofstrains was screened out from 100 strains by conventional screeningmethods.Using screened strains, the medium and the condition of thefermentation were studied in the paper. The optimum data, includinginoculum ratio and quantity, the proportion of water of the medium, thecultivation time and temperature were acquired. The experimental result showed that the content of raw protein wasincrease from 17.76% to 23.88%, and the content of pure protein from13.24% to 21.03%, the rate of increase was 34.5% and 58.8%respectively; the content of raw cellulose was decreased from 13.64% to9.6%, and the rate of decrease was 24.3%. 17 kinds of necessary aminoacids were increased considerately, except lysine. The detoxication ratioof cottonseed hydoxybenzene in the cottonseed cake was 75%, from0.16% to 0.017%.
