The synthesis of herbicide safeners of dichloroacetyl oxazolidine was described in this paper. When hydroxide sodium acted as catalyst, the dichloroacetyl chloride was directly dropped into the system after the intermediate was synthesized by the condensation of the isopropanolamine or ethanolamine and butanone. The optimum experimental conditions of the product I (3 -dichloroacetyl-2,5-dirnethyl-2-ethyl- 1,3 -oxazol idine)were as following: tetrachlorocarbon acted as solvent, temperature was -10?---5~C and stirring time was lhr, the yield was62.2%.The optimum experimental conditions of the product II (3-dichloroacetyl-2-methyl-2-ethyl-1,3-oxazolidine) were as following: trichloromethane acted as solvent, temperature was-4~---?~C and stirring time was lhr, the yield was 78.6%.When the catalyst was triethylamine, the water produced in condensation of isopropanolamine or ethanolamine and butanone was removed with benzene by water segregator, then the dichloroacetyl chloride was dropped. The optimum experimental conditions of the product I were as following:benzene was solvent, temperatLlre was 1 1 0~C and stirring time was 3hr, the yield was 47.3%. The optimum experimental conditions of the product II were as following: benzene was solvent, temperature was 1 10~C and stirring time was Ohr, the yield was 68.3%.The structures of product I and II were confirmed by TLC, UV, IR, HNMR, GCS and elementary analysis.A bioassay was developed for determining the influence of herbicide safeners I and II on wheat and corn seeds. Under 5~40mg/kg butachlor concentrations and I ~tg/kg Chlorsulfuron concentrations, herbicide safeners concentrations correlated with the height and fresh weight of wheat seedlings, and with the fresh weight of roots, root length and the fresh weight of shoots, shoot length. Two safeners both have a definitely l5iological activity, and could protect wheat from herbicide butachlor injury and corn from herbicide Chlorsulfuron injury. The protected rates of two safeners to wheat from butachlor injury were 60% 170% , and to corn from Chlorsulfuron injury were 60% 110%.Postgraduate:ZhangJinyanMajor:PesticidesTutor:Prof. Ye Fei...
