In2014, the thin muskmelon ‘Jin Fei’ was used as the test materials, on the basis ofstandard nutrient solution formula of South China Agricultural University fruit vegetables, adopting the way of soilless substrate cultivation. Five phosphorus element level wereestablished in the experiment, respectively is T1(phosphorus concentration was0.3mmol L-1), T2(phosphorus concentration was0.6mmol L-1), T3(phosphorus concentration was0.9mmol L-1),T4concentration (phosphorus concentration was1.2mmol L-1), T5(phosphorus concentrationwas1.5mmol L-1). Potassium concentration was constant set as4.74mmol L-1, nitrogenconcentration was constant set to8mmol L-1. In melon’s growth and development of differentperiods, different phosphorus levels of melon plant growth, physiological characteristics, yieldand quality of mechanism were studied by measuring melon shape index, material accumulationindex and physiological index, so as to melon production and balanced fertilization providetheoretical basis for high yield and good quality. The results are as follows:1. In seedling stage, the suitable dosage of phosphorus (0.9~1.2mmol L-1the T3and T4treatment), promoted the melon morphological indexes such as plant height, stem diameter, leafarea, root volume and root length, improved the aboveground and underground part materialaccumulation, and improved root activity, chlorophyll, nitrate nitrogen, soluble protein content, nitrate reductase, catalase, peroxidase and ascorbic acid peroxidase, polyphenol oxidase activity. When the concentration of phosphorus was too high or too low, that it not suitable for melonseedling growth and accumulation of material and the improvement of various physiologicalindicators.2.In the fruiting period, appropriate dosage of phosphorus (0.9~1.2mmol L-1the T3and T4treatment), melon fruit diameter, longitudinal diameter, fruit weight, fruit yield effectivelyimprove, effectively promote melon yield formation.3.In phosphorus concentration was0.9~1.2mmol L-1the T3and T4treatment, nutritionalqualities such as soluble solids, soluble sugar, Vc, soluble protein and total acid in the fruit ofmelon improved effectively, and it promoted the formation of melon’s quality traits.
