Reliability Test And Analysis Of Board To Board Connector Used In Walkie-talkie

In this dissertation, the model 2000 P ? 40Gand 2001S ? 40GBoard to Board connectors as the object, we used simulation and test verification methods to study the effect caused by the environmental tests on the reliability of these two types of connectors, in conjunction with the environment where BTB connectors used in walkie-talkie. The main research contents are as follows.Through the comparative presentation, the shortcomings of connectors and the advantages ofFPCBTB connectors were given.The failure distribution of BTB connector can be deduced from the failure distribution of contact terminals of its connector according to the theory of the distribution of series system. Then, the statistical object was determined.Studied the effects caused by temperature and humidity environment on the reliability of the connector. Through the reliability tests of heat resistance, cold resistance, humidity and temperature cycling, obtained the curves of contact resistance variation of the BTB connector's contact terminals on the basis of the contact resistance is one of the most important statistical parameters. some basic concepts of electrical contact are used to analyze the failure mechanism of contact resistance variation from theoretical aspects.ABAQUS was used to simulate the process of the test boards under dropping test. From this simulation, the distribution of force and failure of the connector's contact terminals was obtained. The results of the simulation were verified through specific shock and vibration tests. Then, the failure equation of the connector undergone vibration stress was deduced. This connector was suffering fretting corrosion of rough surfaces. This failure equation laid the foundation for the future accelerated lifetime test and statistical analysis of test data.The reliability of using a BTB connector was assured by testing a whole walkie-talkie which included a working BTB connector in it. These tests were the same as the environmental tests executed before.Finally, some useful suggestions are proposed on the basis of the analysis of the project, and some problems which need further study are also brought forward at the end of the paper.
