Research On The Urban Street Wall Design In Harbin

The street not only satisfy the city's transport function, but also be the public space in the city which carry the citizens'public street life, this paper introduces the concept of street wall, which is the enclosed urban public space defined by the buildings on the streets and other kinds of objective elements, at the same time, final rendering through people's experience and understanding of the Street Wall. Street Wall is an important part in the urban public space system, and it is the type of urban public space that has closest relationship between citizens and most close contact with the urban residents compared to other urban public space, which is a stage that reflects the urban life.Influenced by the early planning of Europe in Harbin urban planning, Harbin formatted a unique city street wall; it has clear urban area, pleasant street-scale and distinctive features of the city. However, with the urban development and transport needs, the scale, interface and texture of traditional street in Harbin are damaged seriously by the new buildings and wide roads, and historical value Street Wall has also been destroyed, street life is being gradually lost. In terms of these problems, it is important to research design of the Streets Wall in Harbin, this article put forward under the influence of this context.This paper studied Streets Wall in Harbin to as the basis of research, classified the research according to historical evolution and current status of Streets Wall in Harbin, and through the analysis the present status and problems of all types Streets Wall in Harbin, then summarized a variety of factors which affect the space of Streets Wall in Harbin. Finally, according to characteristics of different types Streets Wall in Harbin, starting from the main influencing factors and analysis the various types of typical case, sum up the design strategy of traffic-type Street Wall, life- type Street Wall, and multi-type Street Wall, aimed at making Streets Wall in Harbin meet the requirements of different groups of people, at the same time, reflect the city's character and humanity of care.
