Intense market competition and increasing quality demand accelerate drawing advanced techniques such as information technique, computer technique into the field of quality management and control in a corporation, making a good foundation for the modern quality management and quality assurance. It is of important significance to unfold the research about constructing new pattern of modern quality management, which is on the basis of computer application techniques and combines the advanced quality control technique with information Process technique and modern quality management methods. This paper presents the generic quality control system for the promotion of the development of domestic enterprise in quality management and control, improving the level of product quality management.The paper first outlines the current overall developments in the quality control, then analyzes the content of quality control(mainly about process quality control), including factors affecting the quality(human, machine, material, method and environment), data analysis, the implementation of SPC, the common methods of quality control. On this basis, the paper further studies the data flow of the quality of management and control, establishing the model.After concluding the research about quality control, the paper has raised a model of the generic quality control system. This model have not only the function of quality control but of being able to achieve quality management, meantime, can be reconfigurable,reusable and scalable, and can be integrated with other management systems.The paper has raised three key techniques to establish it, including the system architecture Design,the metadata management technology and the component technology. For system architecture, the paper has designed the network structure,the hierarchical structure and the functional modules according to the requirements. For the metadata management technology, the paper has raised the division standards for metadata, and realized the extraction and management in technical metadata. For the component technology, the paper has provided the method of dividing components and the way of managing components.On the basis of the above researches, the paper has designed the prototype of generic quality control system finally.
