Ship piping has huge amount, various kinds, complex structure and a high degree of utilization of space. It leads to that the parts can not be assembled because of different assembly sequence, the space which is not enough for assembly, prepared improper tools. However, when traditional virtual assemblies simulate the assembly sequence, the impact of hands and the scope of human activities are neglected in the actual assembly process, it isn't suitable for the actual assembly. Therefore, the virtual assembly of the ship piping used in ergonomics analysis in the thesis is of great significance.the optimizing of the virtual assembly path of ship piping based on ergonomics replace the physical prototype by the computer-based prototype of ship, thus it overcomes the defects of the physical prototype, such as long manufacturing cycle, high cost, difficult correcting. It will expose the design problem of the virtual assembly path of ship piping at the early stage of design, and increase labor productivity because of fully considering the human factor. According to the characteristics of the ship assembly, ergonomics analysis based on virtual technique is researched to give the ergonomics frame model of ship piping virtual assembly analysis. This paper discusses the composing of the virtual assembly environment, establishes a population file according with China's actual situation, creates the human body model and builds non-immersion virtual environment of ship piping assembly; The traditional assembly path will be decomposed and optimized for a comfortable assembly path. With "assembly therblig" brought into the broken down of ship piping assembly tasks, the ship piping assembly tasks broken down method is proposed and the key postures will be analyzed in each sub-path. Basic principle and verification procedure of ergonomics analysis of ship piping virtual assembly is developed primarily, and the reach ability, the visibility are verified, energy consumption are calculated, and each part of the body are checked. Then the results will be analyze, and summarize the factors when optimizing the assembly path.
