As the core components of the engineering mechanical powertransmission system, the assembly quality between the hydraulic torqueconverter and the engine affects the performance of the drive system directly.And the assembly quality of the hydraulic torque converter and enginedepends primarily on the measurement accuracy of the inner hole assemblydimension of the hydraulic torque converter, therefore, the key dimensionmeasurement is particularly important.At present, the main measurement method of the inner hole assembly dimensionof the hydraulic torque converter is using the depth gauge for manual measurement,which ignores the assembly cumulative error of the inner hole of the hydraulic torqueconverter to result in the assembly dimension inaccurate measurement and finallyaffect the assembly accuracy of the hydraulic torque converter and the engine. Forthe problems existing in the current inner hole assembly dimension measurement ofthe hydraulic torque converter and the practical needs of the manufacturers, thissubject takes the science and technology project of the State Quality InspectionAdministration “Research in inner hole assembly dimension measuring device of thehydraulic torque converter” as the background, design and develop a inner holeassembly dimension measuring device of the hydraulic torque converter.The article calculates the dimension chain of the key assembly dimension, andanalyzes the inner assembly cumulative error of the hydraulic torque converter,which provides a theoretical basis foe the design of the new measuring device. Wedesign a measuring device which eliminates the assembly cumulative error of theinner hole assembly dimension of the hydraulic torque converter by applyingpressure and the same time measures the assembly dimension indirectly. Themeasuring device adopts servo control technology, hydraulic technology, laser sensortechnology and information management technology including data acquisition andprocessing, etc.The measuring device uses a servo motor and ball screw drive to achieve precise positioning of the work-piece to be measured, takes the hydraulic system toapply pressure to the work-piece to be measured to reduce the inner assemblycumulative error and uses the laser displacement sensor for accurate measurement.The PC measurement software uses C++language, whose functions include dataread, data analysis, matching process, reports print, etc. The PC uses RS232serialport to communicate with the lower machine.Finally, the article analyzes and predicts the reliability of the measuring device,analyzes the measurement error factors of the measuring device, test and verify thereliability of the measuring device by measuring experiments and compare with thetraditional measurement method.
