The Discussion Of Experiential Activities In Urban Park

What the process of urbanization has brought is a constantly changing development. During the enhancement process of people's environmental recognition as well as the changes in life style, some of these changes such as urban environmental pollution, damages of human scale have brought people's attention. As one of the most favorite open spaces, urban park, its construction has also been facing new developmental chances in the process. Based on the human needs of diversity outdoor activity experience, its development pattern has been changed from traditional and static state sightseeing to diversity activities such as entertainment, exercise and education.Therefore this dissertation mainly begins with the users'experiential needs of urban parks, on the basis of respecting ecological principles, focusing on the diversity activities which visitors are able to take part in, creating beautiful, attractive park environment and providing a unique experience. Hence through park environment, people could be able to deeply connect personal life with a wider world. As a result, it is important to study how to satisfy different experiential needs involving experiential activities.The dissertation first introduces the background and proposes questions.Then it analyzes urban parks'developmental history, current situation, users'different needs. According to the different experiential needs, it builds a related system in order to define the types of activity, and then provides the base of the definition and development of the thematic content.At last, it studies practical cases, from the angle that different functional space divisions express different themes, summaries the corresponding themes of experiential activities for different functional divisions. Also it confirms the viability of taking part in the experiential activity system. Through analysis and study of the projects, provides the principles of planning experiential activities.At the end of the dissertation, it concludes the whole study, and gives a prospect of future development experiential activities in the construction of urban parks.
