| In this paper, static and dynamic characteristic analysis of the heavy-duty truck frame was carried out using finite element method. Through a combination of experiments, the results showed that the finite element model reflected the actual situation in the frame. With the thickness of the sensitive components being modified , the structural parameters of the frame lightweight design is completed. Through the topics, the main results as follows:(1) Cell-based shell finite element model of the frame structure was established using HyperMesh. Key positions had been simulated in the frame structure and loads, constraints had been dealt with.(2) The strain tests were done and it supplied the evidence of the finite element analysis to prove the precision of the model.(3) Static properties of the frame structure were calculated and analyzed, including bending, torsion. The results showed that the frame had good strength and stiffness properties, and there was a certain space optimization.(4) Through the modal being analyzed , the natural frequencies and formation of the frame structure was gotten. The results showed that the frame structure could effectively avoid the natural frequency of the various excitation source frequency , then avoided resonance phenomena.(5) The results showed that in the case of guaranteed certain rigidity and intensity, by establishing structure optimization model of the Frame and changing the thickness of sensitive panels, lightweight of the frame could be achieved. This study showed that the finite element method and Hyperworks software for structural analysis and lightweight frame design provided a good basis for the theory and methods. It had value and significance in the heavy-duty frame design, inspection, transformation and optimization . |
