Research On Lobby Design Of Five-star Resorts In San Ya

Along with the rapid growth of economy, living conditions have been improved greatly and resort has become a first choice for people to spend their leisure time relaxing and entertaining. Coastal Resorts in tropics are the best and the most comprehensive representatives for this kind of phenomenon among all.On May 26th, 2007, local government has approved officially that Hai Tang Bay is identified as"National Coastal"which means it's become an international leisure holiday district. There will be 26 five-star and seven-star resorts in 5 years. The five-star resorts in San Ya have encountered an unprecedented opportunity for further development. It's a crucial issue to explore how to successfully exert the environmental features of Hai Nan and set up a high recognition for resorts in San Ya.From the research in psychological analysis on customer's behavior, it can be pointed out that the lobby area of coastal resort is a very important space for visitors to experience the distinguishing theme. For analysis in the management of resorts, the lobby area is acting as a control centre of the whole hotel. From the aspect of hotel design, the lobby area is the most crucial intersection in connecting restaurants, meeting rooms, standard rooms and other facilities. In conclusion, the design of lobby area in a coastal resort is playing a fundamental role in hotel design, especially for resort's namely brand and convenient management.The thesis is mainly consisted of five parts to discuss the lobby area design of five-star coastal resort in San Ya:Chapter one is an overall description of the research content, including the background, the meaning, the methodology and the framework of the article. Chapter two mainly focus on analyzing the problems, respectively elaborates the theory of vacation tourism and coastal resort, the existing situation of five-star resort in San Ya and the definition and the categories of lobby area.Being the core of this article, chapter three, four and five is the main part for discussing the theme of this thesis. It's a discussion on the reason and the trend of development of lobby area in coastal resort in San Ya. Along with the examples and studies of five-star hotels in San Ya, the writer would discuss the design and the methodology behind in depth.Chapter six is to integrate the theory and real project which is done by the writer to further enhance the study and discussion in previous parts of the thesis.The last part of the thesis is the conclusion that made according to the studies.
