Research On Renovation Of The Facades Of Urban Old Housing

Into the 21st century, our country is entering a "Housing aging" period, the time of a comprehensive renovation of old housing has come. The single way of demolition and reconstruction in today's new wave of urban renewal has become the past tense, more people begin to focus on and consider how to achieve a continual use of the old housing, while retaining the old house, make its function and appearance keep up with the times in the way of maintenance and renovation, in order to avoid waste of resources, and to reduce "constructional destruction" in the city, finaly to ensure sustainable development of the society.In this paper, it takes Chinese urban assemble residence built during 80's in the 20th century as the main object of study, in the views of transformation of the old residential environment, the paper takes urban old housing fa?ade as the main research content which constitute the overall environment of urban residential areas as a key element. At first the development history of urban housing were studied, analyzed the housing construction characteristics and the evolution of facade, then summed up the historical features of the 80s'urban housing construction and what problems left unsolved. Next, according to field research, residents interviews, data queries, and a variety of ways combined, the paper do the study on the status of the old housing facade and renovation examples, to understand the wishes of the residents and make well know about the problems. Based on research of history and current status, the author defined the motivation of fa?ade renovation, and then discussed about the theoretical methods, proposed the corresponding renovation concept, design principles, basic methods and content, and renovation details about each elements of the old housing facade, finally use the study before to guide the real renovation design project in which the author participate, through this practice, to test and improve theoretical methods and specific measures of the old housing facade renovation.Through the study of this paper, the author is trying to establish an effective and scientifc methods toward the old housing fa?ade renovation, and to provide a valuable reference for the current projects of urban old housing renovation.
