The Design Of Space For Convergence Between Urban Complex And Urban Public Transport

Current development of urbanization in China is facing serious challenges: land resource in short supply, rapid urban population growth, reduction of green area, traffic congestion, intensifying energy consumption, environmental pollution, increase in living house price and so on. The keyword is how to develop cities intensively with limited resources, based on healthy socio-economic urban development.In city we need simultaneous development of economic growth, intensive evolvement and the "low-carbon city", in this context, by admixing city public transport and complex hybrid functions in a certain area, we can achieve the goal to thrift urban land resources effectively, and get multi-promotion effect between these two sides. Mix city different spaces and architectural function complex together could solve the current problems during the urbanization process, also could facilitate exploitation mode conversion from extensive to intensive. Therefore under the guidance of direction of sustainable development, this article use systematic view and method, take convergence space of public transport and urban complex as study object; research the convergence space with the architectural design point in the category of architecture; via study about the convergence space in a urban complex, we could pursue intensification use of land when explore during process of urbanization. Meanwhile following a logical structure relationship, research the convergence space structure in an urban complex, the basic principles of this space and design elements settings, and the design methodsPart I: Constitution of convergence space in the urban Complex, that is, the first 2&3 chapters. Firstly it is an overview about convergence space development in urban complex, as well as a description of the basic theory about it; secondly it is the special study with the view of space noumenon regarding to the properties of the convergence characteristics of space, spatial patterns and composition, elements, the basic function. Via this research, we could make convergence space essence and its link function between urban complex and public transport clear.Part II: principles and elements when design convergence space, that thesis, Chapter 4. First of all, use urban compact theory and environmental psychology as the guidance for convergence space design, learning from a successful instance, we obtained the basic principles of design - the economical & overall principle, non-interference principle, spatial principle of diversity, and space security policy; secondly, following the research about space structure and case studies, generalize the design elements as: layout, interface control, functions to expand and details..Part III: Discuss about design methods for convergence space, Chapter 5. Mainly based on definite principles and elements, elaborate the main points and tactics in design in detail. In the layout and planning of convergence space, it places extra emphasis on the link manner between urban public transport and complex in urban both inner and external part, also the study about traffic streamline tissue. Moreover, it define each applicable scope for space distribution and corresponding streamline tissue during different situations; in the interface control, the focal point of the research is combination method, space-scale convergence relationship, and how to get from the convergence space to others. Specific content includes common scale convergence space control, access way, and the combination of interior space. That is enclosed in the space of the interface level up on the city complex in the convergence space; in the space functional organization, main study is about the potential function of the space that connects public transport in the inner part of urban complex and the compound function of it that link up the outside part in urban complex and public transport; during the details building, considering the layout of inner space and external space, it investigates the detailed design in the space environment from the convergence of internal space and external space environment.
