As an important part of intelligent building, Building Automation System(BAS) had been the Cutting-edge research of the Building Technology, it played a vital role in reliable operation and energy conservation of the BAS. To meet the requirement of the Beijing ZhuYucheng Office, engineering design for the BAS were done in this paper.Firstly, the design requirements, the design principles and the design process of the BAS were introduced and several reasons for the low use efficiency of the current BAS were analyzed.In the design and implementation process the basic structure and advantages of the BAS the current mainstream technology of the BAS was analysed. Based on the comparision of three domestic products, the Honeywell company's open building integrated mangement components SymmetrE system and DDC controller Excel 5000 were selected as the implementation platform of the BAS. Based on this platform, the BAS's control functions and schematic design, system hardware type design, DDC controller wiring diagram design, and the configuration software were done and performed the design of the DDC controller and host computer configuraiton software program. Energy-saving operation plans and group control policies were deeply analyzed and studied for the design of Building Automatic System.Through the system debugging and running tests showed that the building automation system running safe, reliable, advanced and had a reasonable control scheme, it had passed the joint inspection of the expert group and the owners associations. All indicators have reached and exceeded some of the design requirements. Overall performance achieved the expected goal . This building automation system engineering design and implementation research have some practical value for the building automation and related systems.
