Application Research Of Chinese Traditional Elements To Olympic Landscape Design

China has five thousand years of civilization and has accumulated rich traditional culture. Chinese traditional elements are extracted and symbols of traditional culture. And they are recognized and welcomed. Especially in the 2008 Beijing Olympics a lot of traditional elements are used and make the world having a deeper understanding of Chinese culture.Research on the application of traditional elements as well as the role of the Olympic Games, to analyze the methods and significance of applying traditional elements in Modern Landscape Design, Then to propose a Method to apply traditional elements in Modern Landscape Design.The main topics of this thesis are as follows:1.Concepts of Traditional elements and stadium ,history and development of the Olympic Games,then to provide a theoretical basis for research.2.Analysis of stadium and environmental Design of the Olympic Games from ancient times to the modern, Summary of Olympic stadium macro planning and micro-site landscape classification design, then to propose Olympic stadium outdoor landscape design trends.3.Analysis of Olympic Games Impact, taking 2008 Beijing Olympic Games as an example, to explain the application of traditional elements in Olympic park design.4.Study of Traditional elements and Beijing Olympic Stadium, Summary of the application of traditional elements in the landscape design(Causes, methods, advantages), then to propose the formation of Chinese style of landscape design theory.
