Research On Passenger Car Brake Testing Equipment And Test Specifications

The brake is the critica1 part on the automobile and its function is one of the important factors which affect the car safety. As the automobile industry's development and people's living standards improving, passenger car has become the main body of vehicle market. The research on passenger cars brake and its performance has important value.In this paper, the braking performance requirements of passenger car and it's characteristics in braking are analyzed. Combined with the performance of disc brakes and drum brakes, it is proposed that disc brake is the first choice for passenger car brake and it will become future development trend of brake. The latest developments in passenger car braking system are outlined.Brake testing equipment is vital device to testing and analyzing brake performance. The structure and working principle of passenger car brake comprehensive performance test-bed are described. Combined with the working principle of mechanical inertia-type test device and the theory "electrical inertia simulation of mechanical inertia" and by analyzing the characteristics of volume speed control loop of variable pump and quantitative motor, the brake test-bed inertia simulation of hydraulic implemented method is dicussed and the concept "Hydraulic Inertia" is proposed firstly. It will provide an important guiding role for researching on system structure of brake experiment device and forms of realization .Brake test specifications are an important criterion and basis for brake performance testing. Through vertical and horizontal comparison of domestic and international passenger car brake test specifications, the proposals which are used for preparing passenger car brake test specifications are summed up.In the test, passenger car brake comprehensive performance test-bed is used as the testing device and relevant test specification is used as guidance.A brake performance is tested. The main factors that impact brake performance are summed up through analyzing the performance parameters of their mutual relations.Summary and perspectives of this topic is concluded. Development trends and research directions of passenger car test device and specifications are put forward.
