Because EHB has the characteristics of small in volume,light in mass,quick in response,low energy consumption and excellent braking effect,etc.As a result,it is very popular in the study of the brake system.This paper studied the critical technologies such as the design of the electric power brake,braking control strategy,system test and evaluation method in EHB system.The main contents are as follows:(1)The paper made an implementation plan of the electric brake control system and fulfilled the structural design of electric power-assisted brake.Then according to the performance characteristics of vehicle brake,a new type of EHB system is designed.(2)The dynamic model is established.Combined with the target model,a simulation model of the braking system was built in the AMESim simulation platform.A vehicle bench test platform was built by using the target vehicle.The validity and feasibility of the structure scheme is verified by simulation and vehicle test.It also provided a theoretical support and experimental platform for the research of braking control strategy of EHB system.(3)Based on the detail analysis of the measured results of driver’s braking condition and braking assist curve,a braking control strategy of EHB system based on the fixed braking intention recognition method was proposed,which solved the problem of the rigid braking strategy of the traditional vacuum power system.In order to test the pros and cons of braking control strategy,a set of "EHB braking control strategy test scheme" with braking intention identification,Power-Assisted braking curve,braking pedal feeling and braking distance as the core elements was established.(4)Based on the actual vehicle test platform and the road test,the EHB system and the traditional vacuum booster brake system were tested and compared under various test conditions.The test results showed that the overall braking performance of EHB is better than the traditional vacuum brake system.
