| Waste Rubber as an asphalt modifier, not only can improve road performance, but also harmless, resources to take full advantage of a large number of scrap tires, which has important practical significance for the sustainable development of China's economic and environmental mitigation the pressure. Rubber asphalt in the East, in the southern region relatively large application, the application in Shanxi Province, only the stress absorbing layer and the deck and water, and asphalt rubber mixture technology gaps still exist. Therefore, the technical nature of asphalt rubber, asphalt rubber SMA mix design and its pavement performance will be study systematically in this paper. Hope that research results can contribute to the promotion of asphalt rubber application in Shanxi Province.Through domestic and international research and practice and experience, the source, production process and mesh of powder are determined. Testing asphalt rubber viscosity which processed using different mixing methods at different mixing temperatures and different mixing time to determine the rubber modified asphalt technology in the laboratory and analysis the effect of tire and asphalt on the performance of asphalt rubber. Referencing asphalt rubber gap graded mixture design and composition characteristics abroad and combined with the traditional SMA gradation to determine asphalt rubber SMA mixture design ideas, using the Marshall method to design mixture and test its road performances. The focus of research is studying the effect of asphalt rubber type, rubber powder content and asphalt content on the high temperature stability, low temperature crack resistance, moisture sensitivity, and fatigue properties of asphalt rubber SMA. The results show that asphalt rubber SMA mixture rutting performance of high temperature and low temperature cracking resistance and fatigue performance are good, but its moisture sensitivity is slightly lower, and different factors have different effects on asphalt rubber SMA pavement performance. |
