Study On The Application Technology Of Ground Tire Asphalt Rubber

The party 17 had loudly proposed the goal of science development, constructing harmonious society altogether . and the ground tire asphalt rubber was precisely the new building material which serves the goal of construction harmonious society'. Not only could enhance the bituminous pavement operational performance, but also could achieve the goal of reject uses again and protecting environment . This article depends on west transportation construction science and technology project to research the application technology of ground tire asphalt rubber .when it had been applicated ,the society, environment, economic efficiency would be remarkable.This article's main content includes: the modified mechanism of ground tire asphalt rubber , the technical specification of rubber powder for roadbiulding and asphalt rubber , composition design of asphalt rubber mixture , entity project confirmation and technical demonstration .It had initially explained modified mechanism of ground tire asphalt rubber, by analysing four components of asphalt rubber under different storable condition and changes of viscosity, and by observing the microscopic structure . In order to apply the best performance parameter which suits the rubber asphalt modified mechanism ,It had Carried on the test to performance index of the different particle size rubber powder modified asphalt , and carried on the analysis to the current technical specifications ,such as the penetration, the softening point, the ductility, elasticity restores , thermosenescence ,viscosity . while designing the composition of asphalt rubber mixture , Marshall compaction test had been used . The influence on asphalt mixture ratio and technical specification had fully considered when the ground tire rubber powder had blend in the mixture . Also it had explained the reason which enhances these performances by analysing the result of rut test , freezing and thawing split test and low temperature bend test . By constructing the entity project, the research results had been confirmed and improved ,in the same time , had eliminated the barrier for the asphalt rubber in roadbuilding .It had concluded as follows: Under hot conditions ,the rubber power would absorb the oil which be in the asphalt ,also ,it dissolved ,depolymerized and degenerated .At the same time ,the active material which had been in the ground rubber power would enter into the colloid system of asphalt ,all improved the temperature susceptibility and anti-aged performance of asphalt . There were un-dissolved ground tire rubber powder pellets in the modified asphalt .under normal temperature and low temperature condition ,such pellets would make the elastic performance and resistibility to cracking of the modified asphalt more better .In view of the characteristic of asphalt rubber , abandon the technical specification which did not fit for modified mechanism of asphalt rubber , and use the appropriate technical specification, to control the asphalt rubber quality and to design the composition of asphalt rubber mixture . The excellent performance of hightway ,which constructed by asphalt rubber mixture ,would be owned by our country .This researchful results would provide the support in theory and technic for ground tire asphalt rubber in highway engineering application.
