Abstract/Summary:
Stone masonry is compost of stone and motor, it is an uneven mesh structure system. There are a lot of masonry joint, more original void and hole in the joint lead to plumpness of joint motor serious shortage, that will decrease the seismic shear behavior of stone structure.So, whether it is in order to protect ancient architecture or present residence and continue use stone masonry structure, it is necessary to continue more research the earthquake damage, propose reliable aseismic measures and rich strengthening method stone masonry.First, this article review the origin and development history of stone structure, and points out the characteristics of stone structure materials, convenient to understand the feathers of stone masonry.Secondly, this article summaries development process of stone masonry structure theoretical research and existing problems.Thirdly, this article summaries reinforcement measures of stone masonry structure and working principle.Finally, this article proposes a new reinforcement method about stone masonry structure-reinforced by iron sheet network. Finite element method and experiment research result show that this method can increase the energy dissipation, ductility, integrity and horizontal bearing of stone masonry structure but not increase the stiffness of structure. That indicate the new method is an economic convenient and effective method.
