Research On The Seismic Performance Of Masonry Walls And Masonry Structure Considering The Influence Of Cast-in-place Slab

Abstract/Summary:
In the past few years,a lot of research on masonry walls and masonry structures were studied by scholars at home and abroad,and fruitful results haved been achieved.However,the previous research on the seismic performance of masonry structures was mainly focus on the various anti-seismic measures,the relative relationship of wall between windows and window belly wall,the research on the seismic performance of masonry structures considering the influence of cast-in-place slab was not deep enough.The seismic performance of masonry walls with cast-in-place slab flange and the seismic performance of masonry structures with cast-in-place slab were studied based on the finite element software of ABAQUS in this paper.The key work was as follows:Firstly,a brief introduction of the finite element software of ABAQUS was conducted.What’s more,a detailed introduction of the commomly used element type,the material model,the mechanical constitutive relations of materials and the setting of the finite element parameters,which used in the finite element analysis were conducted.Then,the element type,the material model and the mechanical constitutive relations of materials used in the finite element analysis were selected.The numerical simulation of the four piece of wall based on ABAQUS were compared with the experimental results to verify the applicability of the element model.Next,the masonry wall with cast-in-place slab flange was compared with the masonry wall without cast-in-place slab flange to study the influence of cast-in-place slab on the masonry wall.What’s more,the thickness of cast-in-place slab,the section size of ring beam,the vertical compressive stress on the top of the wall,the reinforcement ratio of tie column and the height to width ratio of wall were considered to study the seismic performance of the masonry walls with cast-in-place slab flange.Then,the section size of ring beam was set to 120mm which was the same as the thickness of cast-in-place slab according to the analysis above.Six groups of gallery outside masonry structure meet the requirements of specifications based on ABAQUS were established,and their seismic performance under 7 degree rare earthquake,8 degree rare earthquake and 9 degree rare earthquake were studied.What’s more,strengthening measure was adopted to strengthen the gallery outside masonry structures,which can not meet the three seismic fortification criterion.In addition,the effect of strengthening measures adopted above were compared.Besides,the structure height and the thickness of cast-in-place slab were considered to study the seismic performance of the gallery outside masonry structure based on ABAQUS.Finally,a two-story masonry structure with middle corridor based on ABAQUS was established,which was used to approximate replace the bottom two storys of the eight-story masonry structure with middle corridor by applying mass and using some related simplification treatment,and its seismic performance under 7 degree rare earthquake were studied.Besides,Three groups of masonry structure with middle corridor based on ABAQUS was established by using the same modeling method above,and their seismic performance were studied considering the influence of category of construction quality control of masonry.Conclusions above can provide reference for the seismic design of the masonry structure with cast-in-place slab.
