The overall planning of TuMuJi National Nature Reserve in Inner Mongolia was made in 2005, the preparation of the completion of this planning was by the second forestry survey and design institute of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. As the urgency of the construction projects in protected areas, design units worked out a planning for the newly established TuMuJi National Nature Reserve in Inner Mongolia who in a timely manner from a construction point of view. After an interval of 5 years, this article on the Tumuji Nature Reserve had a study on the ecological environment from the perspective of ecological planning. meanwhile, on the basis of the overall plan, put forward a scientific and rational suggestions for improvement. The emergence and development of 3S technology based on the global satellite positioning systems, remote sensing technology, geographic information system has brought new theories and methods for modern ecological planning. In digital form to study the law of development of ecological environment can be more intuitively reflect the ecological environment where the root of problems, and also be more thorough express the characteristics of the ecosystem, further for information acquisition, analytical methods, program development of ecological planning provides a scientific and highly efficient means. This article uses 3S technology, Analysis on ecological environment of the reserve through the Tumuji Nature Reserve field investigation and widely collect data, and on this basis, adjusting the division of TuMuJi National Nature reserve ecological functions. Thesis are as follows:(1)By collecting a large amount of data and field investigation, through GPS point sampling, RS Image Correction, and then utilizing supervised classification function of the Erdas Imagine9.2,we got three stages of vegetation distribution of TuMuJi National Nature Reserve in 1990, 2000, 2007.Finally, to use Arcview3.3, extraction of protected area's vegetation type spatial distribution of change data in various periods.(2)Using GIS spatial overlay analysis modules of the ArcInfo9.0 software, concurrently, use the status quo of natural vegetation map of TuMuJi Nature Reserve in 2005 as a reference, and to spatial overlay with the vegetation type after classification and monitoring in 1990, 2000, 2007, in conclusion ,coincide with the boundaries and the average relative location as the state of the distribution of vegetation types. Through the use of ArcInfo's Identity (identification operation) command to superposition analysis of these three vegetation type map and survey data of vegetation in 2005, parse out the spatial distribution of vegetation types of the TuMuJi Nature Reserve.(3)Through compare the analysis of the ecological environment of vegetation type distribution maps with the investigation map and the existing functional area planning, found that there are some problems in the planning. In order to ensure the integrity and rarity of the ecological system, this paper realignment of the functional areas that is made appropriate adjustments of the existing buffer zone's location and size. The results obtained in this region siberian apricot that main plant such as type shrub steppe, line sibiricum, stipa grandis steppe, meadow vegetation, reed marshes, etc., accounting for over two-thirds of the total area, vegetation cover better. By the United States multi-temporal Landsat, Landsat5,its TM images of superposition analysis results showed that nearly 30 years, the number of farmland has increased, and to the siberian apricot shrub steppe, meadow vegetation, consisting mainly of reed swamp vegetation in the area significantly reduced, and that undermining the value of endangered bird habitats. In addition, from the trend of dynamic change can be seen, the reduction of important biological's habitat is the law of the spread of style, the following made a comparative analysis of the spatial distribution of vegetation types produced by ArcInfo and the existing functional area planning. In order to ensure the integrity and rarity of the ecological system, proposed adjustments Nature Reserve Master Plan (2006-2015)of the function zoning proposal.
