In recent years, with the high-speed growth of our national economy, the demand of natural resources has shown an ever-growing tendency. As the development and utilization of clean energy have been greatly publicized and arousing great concern recently, the environmental benefits of using clean energy have been recognized throughout the world. Being a kind of new green energy, wind power is highly efficient in terms of power generation without being neither costly nor bringing pollution to the environment. In Jiangsu Province, however, the only suitable site for power generation by wind is located at National Yancheng rare waterfowls nature reserve and its surrounding areas. The choice of the site for power generation by wind thus becomes somewhat complex, which necessitates our close need to some negative effects that developing clean energy may have on the eco-functional zone. In the thesis, the researcher who takes the construction of Dafeng Wind Power field in the transitional area of the reserve as an example has studied the negative influence on eco-environment owing to developing clean energy.Based on the materials and data like the remote sensing images, topographic maps, reserve plans, with the relative theory of Landscape ecological method, habitat assessment methods, ecosystem service function and value evaluation method, this paper took several wind farms in Yancheng National Nature Reserve experimental zone as the research object, studied the main protected species and ecosystem service function from the landscape pattern, the status quo, habitat quality situation, main protected species and ecosystem service function and so on, and analyzed the ecological cumulative effect from multiple wind, by means of consulting literature materials, fieldwork, and expert consultation, and the support of remote sensing (Rs) and geographic information system (GIS) technology in reserve. The research results showed that, mutiple wind power construction can lead to vegetation damage, biomass reduce, land use style change in Yancheng Nature Reserve, and landscape fragmentation. Furthermore, the wind power projects occupied large area of reserve land, causing bird habitat and foraging loss. Wind power operation, the noise generated, and the potential damage of birds decreased the reserve ecological environmental quality, resulting the descending of ecosystem service function. Thus, the multiple wind power farm construction brings certain ecological environment, especially the influence of major protected species, such as cranes--the main protected species. Besides, the migrating of birds will also be affected from some extent. Finally, based on the analysis of the influence, this paper proposed some corresponding measures to slow down the effect of wind power, and offered scientific basis and method to maintain and restore the ecological protection function consequently.
