There are a large of part has been worked for several decades in three Gorges reservoir area. Which has been made a significant contribution to the national economy, while the structure of these piers due to corrosion, aging, overload, fatigue and other factors occurring damage, some structural damage is also quite serious. Meanwhile, along with economic and social development in recent years and the ship growing trend towards large-scale, leading to the port can not meet the transportation and production needs. So it's urgent need to establish a scientific evaluation system and methods to evaluate the current structure.This article obtained the following conclusions:(1) In this text,according completely and systematically analysis, it put forward the difficulty and opportunities about the development faced of the inland port in three Gorges reservoir area. At the same time some current problems and the development strategy was presented.(2) There are 3 important parameters for on-site investigations which used assesement of safety about Berthing Capacity .(3) Based on the unit force method , MATLAB software programming and FEM analysis, the loading conditions are studied and the internal force control values are arised. This conclusions are useful for future safety assessment of the Department of berthing structure.(4) For the Department of cable mooring barges berthing structure, this paper proposed suspension method based on the theory of FEM. Which discussed the Department of berthing a systematic analysis of such methods and processes.
