The Study On Modern Illations Of Traditional Rockscape

Chinese classical gardens are considered to be construted of buildings, rocks, water, trees and flowers as the main elements of a comprehensive art form,its main point is learning from the nature while expressing one's thoughts with understanding of nature.Rockscape,which consists of five forms:rockery,stone arrangements,water front construction,steps and rock with characters,is the unique arts of landscape construction of the garden.Being in every coner in garden,and it forms richness views and space styles by four ways of landscape construction:being the main scenery,being the compounding scenery with other elements of garden,being foil scenery and being a turning or transition.Otherwise,influenced by chinese traditional ideology and culture,such as the philosophic theory of "the interaction between human beings and nature",complex of mountains and rivers,chinese literature,etc,rockscape formed its unique value and theories of appreciating during the time it developed. It also expresses constructers' thoughts and feelings,and became a imprtant element of garden in freehand brushwork.All above made rockscape contains cultural meanings which are different from any other garden system.Modern rockscape inherits the traditional one while generates lots of illation forms.This paper discusses the illation forms on aspects of forms,site election,layout,aesthetic standard and the influence caused by development of gardens and parks, abextra culture,users and rock supply.In addition to inheriting,modern rockscape are more multiplex in ways of landscape construction without any restraint of styles, which is the main modality of rockscape's illation.Started with study on traditional rockscape,and based on analysis and researches on morden rockscape cases and rockscape design that writter participated with the directions gave by teachers,this paper sums the principles of design,rock election,site election,layout,landscape and artistic conception and used as the using theories of modern rockscape.
